naka table base

— Cherry, $2500
— CVG fir, $2000

For the most part, whenever I make a new high end piece that has some techniques that are new to me or an aspect I'm not 100% completely sure about I like to make a prototype....or two....

These two bases - one out of CVG fir and the other out of cherry - are the two prototypes that I used as a trial run for my Naka table. You can see a complete description of the table here.

These are offered at a significant savings over the price of a new table and feature the same attention to detail and care found in newly built piece.

At the moment, each base is just a base. In order for it to be a completed table, a top would need to be added - either by yourself or made by me. Depending on the wood used the top would likely run an additional $1000-2000 and take 2-4 weeks to complete.

Finised with a hardwax oil that feels supple to the touch and is very durable, yet easy to repair.
