Jointer bed aligned and flat within 0.001". Pretty nice for a 75 year old Northfield. Checked with the 6’ Starrett and a feeler gauge. Ready for some good work tomorrow!

I found this very cool tambour style Danish credenza a few months back. Someone was throwing it out! People be crazy. It’s good timing because I’m working on a cabinet that will have a tambour style door and this is helping some on the design. More to come!

This is the motor off a Yates American Y30 bandsaw. It was specially made for Yates by Louis Allis. I contacted L.A. And unfortunately they don’t have any records on the motor. My buddy took the rotor out about 10yrs ago and lost the bearings. Not sure what it needed so I dropped it off at my local motor shop today. Hopefully they will figure it out in short order!

I made some shelves the other day. It gave me an excuse to play with my newly acquired Leigh dovetail jig to cut some joints. The goal is to have every machine surface clean at all times. I put up a shelf by the drill press and also the lathe. Always striving for efficiency and cleanliness!
