Using my #lienielsen jointer plane to create a super tight glue joint seam for my workbench top. These 6"x12" white oak beams for my new workbench weigh about 200lbs each. I used my 16" Northfield jointer to flatten a face and square up and edge. That being said, it was difficult to keep a consistent feed rate because of the mass and weight. This left a less-than-perfect surface for the center glue joint. I almost always follow up machine work with hand tools for the final finish.
